Naan bread


Ingredients

  • 2 tsp active dry yeast

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • ¼ cup warm water

  • ¾ cup warm milk


  • 4 cups AP flour

  • 1.5 tsp salt

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil

  • ¾ cup plain yogurt


  • Melted butter about ½ stick


Instructions

  1. Mix wet ingredients

  2. Mix dry ingredients

  3. Combine wet with dry

  4. Kneed till smooth

  5. Put dough in lightly oiled bowl and cover

  6. Let rise till double about 1 hour

  7. Punch out and shape into log on counter

  8. Divide into 12 equal pieces

  9. Heat a large heavy bottom skillet over medium heat

  10. Roll out each piece of dough to about ¼ tick (slightly thicker is better than thinner)

  11. Cook till big bubbles form and spots of light brown then flip and cook till spots of brown appear on the bubbles.

  12. Then take out of pan and brush with melted butter
